Expanding Financial Inclusion: Advans Ghana’s client base more than doubles to 160,000

In the past five years, Advans Ghana has more than doubled its client base, reaching 160,000 as of 2026. Initially, the institution focused on serving women, with 58% of its clients being female, amounting to approximately 92,439 women-led businesses. The institution disbursed GHS400 million to women-owned businesses in 2025 alone, demonstrating its commitment to financial inclusion.

Advans Ghana's expansion has been steady, with an average annual increase of 14% over five years. The institution now serves 159,693 clients, including nearly 77,000 additional traders, farmers, and shop owners. In 2025, digital transactions grew by 48%, and transactions made outside a branch rose by 90%, reflecting the institution's focus on accessibility and convenience.

With over 250,000 loans disbursed since its inception in 2008, Advans Ghana has built its reach through physical branches and digital services such as the MyAdvans GH app and Mobibank USSD service. The institution's performance has kept pace with its client growth, with loans reaching GHS607.5 million in June 2026, a 31% increase year-on-year.

Net profit for the half-year also increased by 68% to GHS38.94 million. Advans Ghana's leadership, headed by Managing Director and CEO Guillaume Valence and Deputy CEO Kwame Owusu-Boateng, emphasizes the importance of combining digital capabilities with a personal touch to support entrepreneurs across Ghana.
