Doha Festival City, QFSA host RunFest 2026

Doha Festival City, Qatar's premier retail, leisure, and lifestyle hub, joined forces with the Qatar Sports for All Federation to host RunFest 2026 on September 25. The indoor running event attracted nearly 800 runners from over 40 countries, with around 25% of participants hailing from Qatar.

The festival featured five race categories, accommodating runners of all ages and abilities, from four to 60 years old. In the men's 10km race, Andrew Jones won first place with a time of 34:45, followed by Samuel Njagi and Suken Thapa in the subsequent positions. For the women's 10km race, Soledad Dominguez took the top spot with a time of 45:25, followed by Nuria Sainz and Emelda Buo.

Supported by partners like Monoprix, Sports Corner, Shoebox, and Foot Locker, RunFest 2026 aimed to promote movement, wellbeing, and community engagement. Doha Festival City's Asset Management Director, Tugrul Comert, expressed satisfaction with the turnout, highlighting the community's interest in healthier lifestyles. Similarly, the Qatar Sports for All Federation's Executive Director, Abdullah Al Dosari, underscored the event's inclusivity, showcasing its appeal to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
