Court seeks probe into role of Gurugram Police officers, Medical Officer in Yuvraj murder case

A Delhi court has ordered an investigation into the possible involvement of Gurugram Police officers and the Medical Officer of Gurugram Civil Hospital in the disposal of Yuvraj Singh Manchanda's body, who was allegedly murdered by his former colleague Anya Vats and her partner Sanyam Sachdeva. The court found that there were significant procedural lapses by Gurugram police, such as the delayed uploading of body details and photographs to the ZIPNET database, which was done only two days after cremation.

The court also criticized the incomplete postmortem report prepared by the hospital's Medical Officer, stating that the cause of death listed as "ante mortem drowning" contradicts the police investigation's findings of two gunshot wounds to the neck. The court summoned the medical officer to provide a written explanation for the discrepancies and emphasized that the police and hospital officials' actions in covering up evidence could not be ignored.
