World Vision Ghana partners Ahafo assemblies to expand water, sanitation and hygiene coverage

World Vision Ghana has entered into a partnership with two local assemblies to enhance access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene services in rural regions of the Ahafo region. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Goaso, marking a collaboration aimed at improving health outcomes and living conditions for underserved communities.

Joshua Baidoo, World Vision Ghana's Acting National Director, emphasized the importance of the assembly's role in providing these essential services, while acknowledging the need for support from development partners to achieve universal coverage. The initiative aims to bridge financial gaps and improve public health in the Asunafo North Municipal and Asutifi North District regions.

The Coordinating Directors for both assemblies welcomed the partnership, noting the significant challenges they face in extending potable water services to all communities. They described the MoU as a timely intervention that will bolster efforts to enhance public health and wellbeing in rural areas.
