Former Big Brother Naija housemate and businesswoman, Uriel Oputa, has expressed her apprehension over the increasing trend of airing private relationship issues on social media platforms. The reality star took to her social media account to question why couples resort to publicizing their disagreements. "When did social media become the family court?" she queried.

Uriel expressed her desire for a partner who appreciates the need for keeping personal disputes private. "Not every disagreement needs to be made public," she stated, emphasizing the importance of resolving differences through open communication, family involvement, or professional guidance when needed.

She cautioned that social media users who engage with such disputes might take sides, share screenshots, create memes, and argue in the comments, only to move on to another issue shortly after. "Social media doesn’t love you the way you think it does," Uriel warned.
