Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis dealing with health issue, won’t travel to Hawaii training camp

Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis is out indefinitely from the team due to a health issue, according to general manager Mike Dunleavy. Dunleavy did not provide further details and did not consider this a long-term concern. Porzingis had been working out at Chase Center recently and was expected to travel with the team to Hawaii for training camp.

However, he did not join the group as planned. Porzingis had previously missed time due to a medical issue and illness in March, which coach Steve Kerr described as "mysterious." Kerr expressed surprise at the latest health issue and said they were expecting Porzingis to return at some point. Dunleavy expressed disappointment that Porzingis would miss the team's opening game against the Lakers on October 21 but stated they were comfortable with the situation for now.
