Minister of Religion Zulkifli Hasan stated that any accusation related to teachings conflicting with Islamic doctrine will be investigated before any subsequent action is taken. In Kuala Lumpur, the Prime Minister's Department (Islamic Affairs) denied the existence of a different service in taking action against teachings deemed divergent from Islamic belief, according to Zulkifli Hasan, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (Malaysian Religious Affairs).

He asserted that the government always upholds the sanctity of Islamic belief and any accusation related to teachings conflicting with Islamic doctrine will be investigated before any further action is taken. "There is no (different service). We are committed to upholding the sanctity of Islamic belief," he said at a media briefing after examining the implementation of the Digital Transformation Programme for Islamic Education Institutions (Digital IPI), including the utilization of the Digital Maker Hub (DMH) at Pondok Darul Furqan today.

Zulkifli Hasan said this when asked to discuss allegations from some parties questioning the government's actions regarding New Age Movement (NAM) knowledge, including comparing it with actions against the Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) earlier. He also emphasized that any accusation against any NGO suspected of practicing or following such knowledge will be investigated by the authorities before any further action is taken.

Recently, the Islamic Progress Department Malaysia (Jakim) held a meeting and consultation session with Deputy Prime Minister for Religious Affairs (Hal Ehwal Agama) Marhamah Rosli to gain clarification on the NAM teachings issue, which also relates to them. Jakim's Chief Executive Sirajuddin Suhaimee said the session involved the Wilayah Persekutuan Mufti, Jakim Academic Panel, and related parties to ensure the matter is examined from the perspective of religious discipline, religious authority, and the NAM worldview.
