Seamless Technologies CEO Calls for Strategic AI adoption to transform Ghana’s financial services sector

Dr Emmanuel Okeleji, CEO of Africa’s leading technology firm Seamless Technologies, has urged financial services sector leaders in Ghana to adopt AI with a strategic mindset. The call came during a Banking and Financial Services Industry Executive Roundtable hosted by Seamless Technologies and Innosol Ltd. The forum, which convened industry heavyweights including CEOs from Access Bank PLC, Pan African Savings and Loans Ltd, and Ghana Association of Savings and Loans Companies, as well as the Commissioner of Insurance, Ghana, gathered to discuss the practical implications of AI in the financial realm.

Okeleji, speaking at the event themed "The AI-Powered Enterprise: Reimagining Productivity, Profitability and Performance in Ghana’s Financial Services Industry," stressed that AI is not merely a passing trend but an essential component of modern business operations. He emphasized that businesses that fail to embrace AI risk falling behind in a competitive landscape.

"AI presents one of the biggest opportunities for businesses to significantly improve productivity and performance," Okeleji stated. The panel delved into various aspects of AI integration, including workforce productivity, operational efficiency, enhanced customer experiences, and data-driven decision-making. They underscored that successful AI implementation extends beyond mere technology investments; it necessitates comprehensive alignment of leadership, robust data governance, cybersecurity measures, workforce readiness, and seamless integration into current business processes.
