The Physics of the Cosmos Program Analysis Group (PhysPAG) is hosting a community meeting on September 28, 2026 at 12 noon Eastern (9a Pacific). The meeting will focus on the outcomes of the recent Ad ASTRA Community Science Workshop and the initial assessment of science priorities and capabilities by the PhysPAG Executive Committee.
Attendees will review the workshop summary and discuss major science questions and capabilities driving the PhysPAG's thinking for upcoming trade spaces. However, the primary goal is to gather community input on any missing science questions, major questions, or capabilities that the PhysPAG should prioritize in achieving its highest goals.
PhysPAG is advocating for capabilities deemed essential to reaching its top science objectives, and they will collaborate with COPAG and ExoPAG to finalize the trade spaces. Participants can access workshop materials, including plenary talks, oral and poster contributions, and recordings, on the Ad ASTRA Workshop website. The Day 3 Workshop Synthesis talks and discussions will be particularly relevant.
To engage with the meeting, participants can use the Slido tool to submit comments, questions, or feedback directly. The PhysPAG Executive Committee members include Manel Errando (WashU St. Louis), Manel Errando (WashU St. Louis) as the chair, Chien-Ting Chen (NASA MSFC) as the vice chair, and Dave Pooley (Trinity University) as the chair emeritus.
Subscribers to the PhysPAG email news list will receive updates about the meeting. The PhysPAG community email list is committed to privacy and will never share subscribers' email addresses.
