Penang governor, CM extend condolences over Siti Hasmah's passing

George Town, Penang - Penang's Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Ramli Ngah Talib, and Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow have conveyed their profound condolences following the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, the pioneering Malaysian woman doctor and wife of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Tun Ramli and his wife Toh Puan Raja Noora Ashikin Raja Abdullah expressed their deepest sorrow, asking that her soul be blessed with mercy and granted forgiveness for any shortcomings. They also prayed for Allah to bestow strength, resilience, and patience upon the family as they endure this immense loss.

Chow Kon Yeow, on behalf of the Penang government, also expressed deep sadness, stating that Dr Siti Hasmah's passing leaves behind an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. He conveyed his thoughts and prayers to the bereaved family during this trying time, asking for the family's strength, fortitude, and continuous patience as they face this deeply challenging moment.

Tun Dr Siti Hasmah, a trailblazing Malaysian physician and the wife of the late Prime Minister, passed away at the age of 100 at the National Heart Institute. She is survived by her husband and seven children.
