October 1st: There will be danger – Primate Ayodele warns Tinubu against independence parade

Primate Ayodele, a religious leader, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu against proceeding with Nigeria's planned Independence Day parade on October 1st. Ayodele expressed his concerns in a video posted on X, stating that holding the parade could expose the event to danger. "October 1st, President Tinubu should cancel the parade.

If he attempts to go ahead with it, there is danger in it," he cautioned. Beyond this warning, Ayodele also addressed Nigerians, urging them to refrain from accepting any form of material exchange from politicians in return for their support, especially ahead of the 2027 elections. He emphasized that voters should make their choices based on their conscience and the candidates they believe will serve the best interests of the country.

"And to Nigerians, don’t collect anything from any politician because of the election. Vote your conscience. Vote for the right people. Vote for people who will truly serve the interest of the people," Ayodele advised. Additionally, he encouraged Nigerians to stay prayerful and vigilant as the Independence Day approaches.
