Nigerian Air Force completes local reassembly of first two H125 helicopters

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully completed the local reassembly of its first two H125 helicopters at NAF Base Ikeja, Lagos. The achievement was announced in a statement on Monday, highlighting the helicopters' delivery by Airbus Helicopters and the critical role of Airbus technical personnel in the reassembly process.

This significant development is expected to bolster technical collaboration, knowledge transfer, and provide hands-on experience for NAF personnel in managing modern rotary-wing aircraft. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, hailed the progress as a positive stride towards bolstering the service's technical and operational capabilities.

Aneke emphasized the commitment to enhancing the support systems necessary to optimize the operational value and longevity of these advanced helicopters. The newly reassembled H125 helicopters are poised to augment the NAF's existing capabilities, enabling enhanced surveillance, tactical mobility, and operational support missions.

The service also expressed gratitude towards the ongoing support and strategic guidance provided by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging his administration's steadfast commitment to fortifying Nigeria's national security infrastructure.
