N. Sembilan royal crisis: Former exco members arrive at MAINS Tower to give statements to Bukit Aman team

Bukit Aman officials recorded statements from all 10 former Negri Sembilan executive council (exco) members at the MAINS building in Seremban today. The session commenced at 11am with Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim in attendance. The recorded statements are reportedly related to the state's political crisis that arose after the revocation of the exco members' appointments by Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir.

The revocation occurred a week after the exco members published a joint statement reportedly confirming Tuanku Muhriz's removal as the state ruler. The palace had earlier claimed that the exco members had violated their oath of office and allegiance to the ruler, which they swore on August 7. Later, Ismail stated that the 10 former exco members, who he believed still legally held office, had been forbidden from entering their respective offices.

Attorney-General Tan Sri Dusuki Mokhtar confirmed the validity of the exco appointments' revocation, with seven of the members belonging to Umno. The 10 exco members include representatives from Umno (Datuk Mustapha Nagoor, Datuk Mohd Faizal Ramli, Datuk Zaiful Bahri Idris, Datuk Mohd Razi Mohd Ali, Datuk Asna Mohd Amin, Siti Nur Umaira Hasim, and Suhaimizan Bizar), MCA (Siow Kong Choon), Pas (Fairuz Isa), and Wawasan (Datuk Razali Abu Samah).
