MaXhosa puts South Africa on the Paris fashion map

Dancer and choreographer Bontle Modiselle emerged victorious in the third season of The Masked Singer South Africa, revealing herself as Spotty, the character who secured the Golden Mask trophy. Modiselle joins Holly Rey and Warren Masemola as previous winners of the popular singing competition on SABC2. Rey claimed the crown in the first season by being revealed as Lollipop, while Masemola was unmasked as Giraffe during the second season's finale.

In the season three finale, four celebrities participated in the unmasking process. Mosquito defeated Chopsticks in the first face-off, while Spotty emerged triumphant in the final showdown against Gogga. During the performance of Drive by Black Coffee and David Guetta, Mosquito was identified as Robot Boii, Chopsticks was unmasked as Khanyi Mbau, and Gogga was revealed to be Afro-jazz singer Judith Sephuma.

The detective panel, consisting of J’Something, Somizi Mhlongo, Sithelo Shozi, and Skhumba Hlophe, attempted to identify the contestants through clues and performances throughout the season. Somizi correctly identified Modiselle as Spotty, winning the Golden Ear trophy, which is awarded to the detective with the most accurate first guesses.

Modiselle expressed her joy about the experience, stating that she had fun and the time of her life, validating her eight-year-old self who felt insecure and doubted her abilities.
