LASU denies excluding 2025 graduates from law school list

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has refuted claims that some graduates of the 2025 law program were omitted from the list for mobilization to the Nigerian Law School. According to the university, its records indicate that all eligible graduates had been successfully mobilized. The controversy arose after several 2025 law students alleged that at least 16 individuals from the forthcoming August 2026 graduating class were mobilized ahead of their peers.

They claimed that around 20 eligible 2025 graduates were affected by this decision. However, LASU's statement confirmed that all eligible students who had completed their program and were eligible for mobilization had indeed been mobilized. The university further asserted that the Registrar had forwarded the list of mobilized graduates to the Nigerian Law School.

In response to the allegations, the university advised affected graduates to visit the Registrar's office to verify their mobilization status and seek any necessary clarification. The university emphasized its commitment to ensuring that eligible graduates do not face delays in their professional training and reiterated its stance on the matter, aligning with the previous denial from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. K.A. Olatoye.
