Jesper Brøndum, Boozt co-founder and Group CTO, joins the EU-Startups Summit 2027

Boozt co-founder and Group Chief Technology Officer Jesper Brøndum will be a featured speaker at the 2027 EU-Startups Summit occurring on May 13-14 in Malta. Jesper will present a keynote titled "Intrapreneurial Insights from Boozt: How to Scale In-house Tech Teams, Own All Data and Be Uniquely Positioned for the AI Era." Spanning over 15 years, Jesper has been instrumental in shaping the technological foundation of Boozt, the leading Nordic e-commerce company.

He built the tech organization from scratch, overseeing the creation of a comprehensive, integrated platform encompassing various aspects like web and mobile commerce, payments, finance, customer service, fulfilment, and warehouse operations. Holding both a PhD in Multivariate Data Processing and a Master's degree from Aalborg University, Jesper brings a strong academic background to his role.

Prior to Boozt, he held a principal position at Netcompany. Boozt, which currently employs over 1,100 individuals and serves customers across 14 European markets, has grown significantly, generating approximately €733 million (SEK 8.29 billion) in revenue in 2025 with over 3.5 million active customers on Boozt.com. Unlike many companies, Boozt made an early strategic decision to develop much of its infrastructure in-house, leading to a highly interconnected ecosystem of proprietary systems catering to both customer-facing operations and internal processes.

This approach has enabled Jesper to expand Boozt's engineering capabilities globally, with significant acquisitions in 2019 and 2021 bolstering the company's app and mobile web development capabilities. Jesper is known for his expertise in technology leadership, AI, platform strategy, and building high-performing in-house engineering organizations, drawing upon extensive experience scaling technology alongside a rapidly evolving e-commerce business.

The EU-Startups Summit, set to take place in Malta, will bring together around 2,500 startup founders, investors, enthusiasts, and industry players for two days of networking, inspiration, and learning, featuring inspiring keynotes, fireside chats, workshops, and an exhibition hall.
