Patel appears to boast about his reputation, telling the crowd, "They said, you can't, I said, watch me. Because HK is a brand." He then declares, "Baap hain, baap hi rahenge," eliciting applause and cheers from the audience.

Earlier, Patel came under criticism for a viral video from Nirma University's Technofra 2026 event. In this clip, the professor can be seen reading from his phone when a student makes a remark referencing a popular dialogue from the movie Golmaal 3: "Arre jaldi kar, Panvel jana hai." This comment reportedly angered Patel, leading him on stage to confront the student, who had insulted him.

Patel warned the student that he would face severe consequences for insulting a faculty member, stating, "I can go to any extent. The day you dare to insult a faculty member of Nirma University campus, you are out forever."

The incident sparked widespread condemnation on social media, with users questioning Patel's behavior towards the student. In response to the controversy, NSUI workers staged a protest outside Nirma University, demanding an apology from Patel over the alleged collar-grabbing incident. A large police presence was deployed, and the university gates were reportedly closed during the protest.
