FGEHA Signs MoU for New 1,600-Kanal Housing Project

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop a 1,600-kanal housing project in Charsadda, Pakistan. This new development will provide residential facilities for around 700 to 800 registered FGEHA members and will be constructed under the Land Sharing Model, in accordance with the FGEHA (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025.

FGEHA Director General Zafar Iqbal highlighted the authority's commitment to advancing housing projects through Public-Private Partnership and Land Sharing Models, aiming to deliver quality and affordable housing options for federal government employees.

The proposed project is situated roughly six kilometers from the Charsadda Interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway, just a 15-minute drive from Peshawar. It will feature direct access onto Charsadda-Nowshera Road and will be located adjacent to KPHA Mega City in Nowshera. The project's development is expected to contribute to the improvement of living conditions for federal government employees by providing them with well-designed and affordable residential spaces.

FGEHA has been actively working to complete its ongoing housing projects and has already handed over possession of 80 plots ahead of schedule. The authority plans to commence the possession process in Sectors F-14/F-15 in phases, while it has targeted completion of possession in Sky Garden, Blocks-A, B, and D by December 31, 2026.

Additionally, the new Charsadda project is currently progressing under the land-sharing arrangement, with the overall focus of FGEHA's housing initiatives shifting towards enhancing the quality of life for federal government employees through strategic partnerships and innovative models.
