FBI lists gangster Goldy Brar among 10 most wanted fugitives, declares $1 million bounty

Goldy Brar, a notorious gangster linked to murder, extortion, and drug trafficking, has been added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List with a $1 million bounty, the agency announced on Monday. FBI Los Angeles Field Office Assistant Director Patrick Grandy revealed this on a press briefing. Brar, also known as Satinderjeet Singh, is suspected of running the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group and is believed to be the leader of the group in North America. He is currently based in the United States.

Brar's addition to the FBI's most wanted list comes after his alleged involvement in the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada in 2023. The US had charged Brar and his associate Lawrence Bishnoi with orchestrating Nijjar's assassination in July 2026. However, Canadian police later stated there was "no evidence" of any official involvement from India in the killing.

The US Attorney's Office revealed the outcomes of Operation Hardball on July 7, 2026, unsealing three indictments against 37 individuals connected to three India-based transnational organized crime groups. Lisa Moreland, deputy commissioner of federal policing for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, emphasized that Brar and his network have caused significant devastation through high-profile murders, shootings, death threats, extortion, arson, and drug trafficking.

The Canadian government designated Bishnoi's enterprise as a terrorist entity in September 2025.
