China's ambassador to Malaysia praises warmth, kindness of Malaysians

Kuala Lumpur - China's Ambassador to Malaysia, Ouyang Yujing, expressed his deep appreciation for the warmth and kindness of Malaysians during his tenure. Ouyang, who has been in Malaysia for nearly six years, called Malaysia his second home and described the country as a place of beauty with beautiful people and hearts. He traveled to all states during his time in Malaysia, immersing himself in the country's history, culture, and traditions.

Malaysians from various sectors, including government officials, military leaders, businesspeople, and ordinary citizens, have consistently shown their affinity towards China and its people, Ouyang noted. The Ambassador highlighted the significant progress in China-Malaysia relations, noting that bilateral ties have evolved from a comprehensive strategic partnership to a high-level strategic community with a shared future.

Ouyang emphasized the strong economic and people-to-people ties between the two countries, including cooperation in trade, technology, education, and tourism. He also acknowledged the strong support China provided to Malaysia during the Covid-19 pandemic, and expressed his gratitude to Malaysians and Malaysian organizations for their support during his tenure.

Ouyang stated that his heart will always remain in Malaysia, and he looks forward to continuing the growth of China-Malaysia relations in the future.
