Bose returns to wired headphones with new noise cancelling $99 earbuds that connect via USB-C

Bose is reintroducing its wired headphones after an 11-year hiatus, launching new noise-canceling earbuds priced at $99. These Bluetooth-free earbuds, named Bose Noise Canceling Wired Earbuds, utilize USB-C connectivity and a 4.2-foot cable. Each earbud houses two microphones to facilitate active noise cancellation, which can be toggled via a button on the inline remote.

The allure of wired earbuds lies in their superior sound quality, zero latency, and reliability.

Additionally, the recent appearance of celebrities sporting wired earbuds and a preference for analog experiences as a counterbalance to AI may be contributing to their resurgence. Priced at $99, the Bose Noise Canceling Wired Earbuds are available for pre-order in black, white smoke, and a limited mint dewdrop color. They are expected to begin shipping on October 13, though the Bose store anticipates shipping by October 15.
