Apple releases iOS 27.0.1 for iPhone, here’s what’s new

The new update is accessible via the Settings > General > Software Update menu on iPhone devices. According to Apple's release notes, this update addresses several bug fixes, including:

1. iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models may unexpectedly restart when Face ID fails to authenticate a user.

2. A color artifact may appear on photos taken at 2x resolution under specific lighting conditions, particularly on f/1.48 aperture settings.

3. Simultaneous opening of Notification Center and Control Center may render the touchscreen unresponsive.

These issues were reported by 9to5Mac earlier this week, with Apple confirming that iOS 27.0.1 would provide a solution. Among the listed fixes, the Notification Center and Control Center issue seems to be widespread across all iPhone models. However, Apple's release notes typically don't provide comprehensive details on every change made in the update.
