Amazon is evaluating drone delivery services in Australia and other Asian nations. A recently posted job listing indicates Amazon is hiring a Head of Regulatory Approvals, Australia to navigate the country's aviation regulations and secure all necessary approvals for drone deliveries. The successful candidate will report to the "Leader, Prime Air Expansion – Asia Pacific."

Amazon has not yet commented on the job ad or specified which other Asian countries it intends to enter. The company's focus on obtaining approvals, meeting timelines, and ultimately delivering drone services to Australian customers suggests this initiative is more than just market research.

In August, Amazon announced its plans to operate Prime Air drones in nearly 500 cities and towns across the United States this year.
