Russia stocks lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia Index unchanged

Russia's stock market experienced a decline at the close of trade on Sunday, with the MOEX Russia Index remaining unchanged. The best performing stocks of the day were Magnit PJSC, OZON, and Federal Hydro Generating Company RusHydro PJSC. Magnit PJSC saw a gain of 1.99% or 32.50 points, OZON rose by 1.52% or 44.50 points, and RusHydro remained unchanged at 0.39 points.

Conversely, the worst performers were LUKOIL PJSC, Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO, and Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO. Magnitogorskiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat PAO dropped by 0.26% or 0.06 points to 21.20, while Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank PAO fell by 0.12% or 0.01 points to 9.01. The Russian Volatility Index, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged at 31.97, marking a three-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery increased by 0.52% or 22.50 to $4,320.50 per troy ounce. Crude oil prices for November delivery fell by 2.29% or 2.17 to $92.44 per barrel, while the December Brent oil contract decreased by 2.02% or 2.15 to $97.44 per barrel. The USD/RUB currency pair decreased by 1.12% to 84.04, while the EUR/RUB pair fell by 0.86% to 95.89. The US Dollar Index Futures also closed down by 0.26% at 100.76.
