Police disrupt cult gathering in Anambra, arrest suspect

The Anambra State Police Command thwarted a suspected cult gathering in Onitsha, arresting a 25-year-old individual and seizing a firearm. The force received intelligence leading to the operation in Abagana Street, Fegge, where they apprehended Chinedu Ike during a swift response. Other suspected members fled upon noticing the police presence.

Following the incident, the Police are intensifying their efforts to track down the escaping suspects and investigate their alleged involvement in violent crimes. The Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Ama, has directed the case to the Violence and Cult-Related Crimes Unit for further investigation. The police urge the public to provide information to help apprehend the suspects.
