Perodua Viva crashes into parked lorry in Kota Kinabalu, killing four men

KOTA KINABALU, September 27 — A fatal accident occurred early this morning in Taman Jaya Diri, Jalan Sepanggar, when a Perodua Viva collided with a parked five-tonne lorry on the road shoulder. The Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 2:37 am, and personnel from the Kota Kinabalu Fire and Rescue Station, along with the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station, arrived at the scene at 2:59 am.

Upon arrival, they found four victims trapped inside the Perodua Viva, with their identities still being determined. Firemen utilized specialized rescue equipment to extract the victims, completing the operation at 3:50 am. Unfortunately, all four men were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
