‘Not enough’: Maharashtra FDA chief reacts to Preity Zinta’s ‘Team Tukaram Mundhe’ T-shirt

Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration chief Tukaram Mundhe received praise from Bollywood actress Preity Zinta for his actions against establishments violating food safety norms in Mumbai. Zinta wore a T-shirt that read "Team Tukaram Mundhe" at a recent event, which garnered attention. Mundhe acknowledged the support but emphasized that it goes beyond mere optics.

He stated, "A team should be formed around these good causes; good ideas, thoughts and actions should be promoted," but also expressed that simply wearing the T-shirt isn't sufficient. Mundhe stressed that the team's action should extend to actual work and adopting the right mindset. He elaborated, "Simply wearing a T-shirt with 'Team Tukaram Mundhe' is not enough.

Merely displaying the title won't suffice; the actual work must be done, and the right mindset must be adopted."
