The teenager's popularity is unparalleled among his age group, even surpassing that of Lamine Yamal, a football player known for his extensive international following. Sooryavanshi has already spent time in the same dressing room as members of India's victorious T20 World Cup team, and his rapid ascent has sparked discussions about potential competition for places in the national squad.

Sanju Samson, who could be seen as direct competition, has not been able to deter Sooryavanshi's progress. Dhruv Jurel, the captain of the young star, emphasizes that comparisons between the two are meaningless unless they possess similar abilities.
