NASCAR points standings, Cup Series points update after Kansas race, Chase picture

Kyle Larson seized the lead in the NASCAR Cup Series Chase standings following the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 27. Larson's race victory came with seven laps remaining as Chase Briscoe encountered difficulties in traffic. Larson's fastest lap added an additional 76 points to his total for the day. Denny Hamlin secured third place, which moderated Larson's overall points gain by contributing 17 stage points of his own.

This is the current NASCAR Cup Series points standings following the Kansas race, which is the fourth of ten races in the Chase. Larson currently leads with 2,282 points, followed by Denny Hamlin at 2,256 points (26 points behind), Christopher Bell at 2,232 points (50 points behind), Joey Logano at 2,215 points (67 points behind), Ryan Blaney at 2,191 points (91 points behind), Ty Gibbs at 2,188 points (94 points behind), Tyler Reddick at 2,171 points (111 points behind), Chase Briscoe at 2,159 points (123 points behind), Austin Cindric at 2,142 points (140 points behind), and Bubba Wallace at 2,142 points (140 points behind).
