South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers continues to face challenges as the Gamecocks extend their SEC losing streak to one year. In their latest matchup against Alabama, Sellers participated but was unable to lead his team to victory. The Gamecocks (2-2, 0-2 SEC) suffered a 49-18 defeat at the hands of the No. 8 Crimson Tide (4-0, 2-0) on September 26 at Tuscaloosa.

Sellers' performance against Alabama was mixed. He completed 18-of-30 passes for 185 yards, scored a touchdown, and intercepted a pass, while also rushing for 72 yards on 13 carries. However, Sellers also had his struggles. He committed a costly pick-six in the second quarter, handing the ball off for a loss just before halftime, which set the tone for the rest of the game.
