Iran says U.S. could launch renewed attack, warns of stronger response

DUBAI, September 27 (Reuters) - Iran's armed forces have declared readiness for any possible renewed attacks from the United States, according to state media quoting the army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia. This came after U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his rejection of an Iranian proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the ongoing conflict.

Akraminia asserted that Iran's armed forces are well-prepared for confrontation and warned that the U.S. would face greater damage in the event of another attack on Iran. Additionally, Iranian Army Commander-in-Chief Amir Hatami declared that the war had reached a critical and decisive stage, emphasizing that Tehran would not tolerate a situation where it could not trade while foreign powers exploited the region's strategic waterways.

Hatami stated, "If Iran cannot trade, if Iran cannot live, no one will be able to trade or live." He further emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz, a critical logistical chokepoint, would not be allowed to be used by Iran's adversaries while the Iranian people are deprived of their rights.
