Foreign male dancers nabbed as Immigration raids Jalan Klang Lama club charging patrons up to RM700

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 - Immigration officers conducted a raid on an entertainment centre in Jalan Klang Lama that hosted dance shows performed by foreign men, as part of a special operation conducted early Saturday. The raid commenced at 12.05am following a month of surveillance and public tip-offs, according to Sinar Harian (SH).

Four foreigners were apprehended during the operation, with ages ranging from 21 to 31. All four detainees were Chinese nationals and one Filipino man, none of whom possessed valid travel documents or passes. The operation was carried out in collaboration with the National Anti-Drug Agency. The entertainment centre, which has been in operation for a year, was suspected of targeting both local and foreign patrons in the Klang Valley, with charges ranging from RM53 to RM700 depending on the purchase of drinks and table bookings.

The detainees were subsequently taken to the Immigration Department office in Putrajaya for further proceedings. The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. Additionally, three local men were issued notices to assist in the investigation. Zakaria Shaaban, the Immigration Director-General, stated that the Immigration Department will continue to collaborate with other enforcement agencies to combat illegal activities.
