EU Unveils €710M Aid Package for Displaced People in Ukraine, Middle East, Africa
Speaking at the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Saturday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced almost €710 million ($809 million) in EU support for displaced people and crisis relief worldwide. The package includes €380 million ($433) in migration funding for Sub-Saharan Africa and €52 million ($59 million) to help Ukraine prepare for winter.
