‘Avengers: Endgame’ re-release tops box office as sales jump 61% from year ago

Two days after its release, the re-release of Avengers: Endgame: Encore has crossed the Rs 15 crore mark at the Indian box office. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film, which includes extra spoiler scenes, has shown a steady increase in collections since its debut on September 25. According to Sacnilk, the film grossed Rs 7.65 crore net on its second day and played in 3,700 theatres across India, bringing the net collection to Rs 14.90 crore.

The gross collection in India reached Rs 17.83 crore. The original English-language version of the film performed best on day 2, with 43.1% occupancy and Rs 5.60 crore in earnings. Hindi and Tamil versions followed with 22.9% and 26.8% occupancy, respectively, and around Rs 1.35 crore and Rs 35 lakh in earnings. Despite the competition from other recent releases such as Resident Evil, Primetime, and The Heart of the Beast, Avengers: Endgame: Encore is expected to continue its strong performance over the weekend as well.
