3 Killed, 4 Injured After Argument Leads To Gunfire At US Strip Club

DETROIT (AP) — Three individuals lost their lives and four others sustained injuries following a shooting at an after-hours strip club in Detroit on Sunday morning, according to police. The incident occurred around 7:21 a.m. on a residential street, with officials finding three men who had been fatally shot. Four more victims, comprising two men and two women, were transported to local hospitals.

Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison informed reporters at a news conference that an argument sparked the gunfire, leading to the fatal altercation. He emphasized that the victims are believed to be in their 20s and 30s. Bettison stated, "A fight occurred, an altercation occurred, and as a result individuals decided to settle it with gun violence."

The police chief noted that the location of the shooting is not unfamiliar to the Detroit Police Department, as they received seven calls to the address this year. He also mentioned that the department has leads in the case, but he declined to elaborate further.

Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield called for anyone with information regarding the shooting to reach out to authorities. She expressed her concern over the incident, stating, "We know that we need more people to speak up to bring justice to the situation. It's heartbreaking, and our community should not have to endure this kind of violence."
