Uba Sani To Clear Inherited Debts, Contractors Hail Gov

Governor Uba Sani has been praised for creating a monthly payment plan to settle debts inherited from the previous administration. Engr Ahmed Baba, Chairman of the Contractors Association of Kaduna State, announced this development following a meeting with senior government officials and the association's leadership. Baba explained that Governor Sani inherited significant liabilities but has shown leadership by implementing measures to pay off contractors' debts.

The monthly payment plan, according to Baba, will help systematically clear verified inherited liabilities, reducing the financial strain on contractors who previously worked on projects for Kaduna state. He emphasized that Governor Sani's approach demonstrates that government is an ongoing process, ensuring contractors are not penalized for their service.

The monthly payment structure, Baba noted, is a much-needed lifeline for many contractors. Since the start of the Governor Uba Sani administration, contractors under the current government have not been owed, which Baba described as a positive development for the construction sector. The association expressed gratitude for the governor's efforts and pledged its support for the infrastructure development program.

Baba urged contractors to maintain high quality and timely delivery of projects to reciprocate Governor Sani's support.
