Tajinderpal Singh Toor misses out on Asian Games shot put gold, dedicates silver to infant daughter

Tajinderpal Singh Toor missed out on a third gold medal in men's shot put at the Asian Games, but he did take home a silver. In dedicating his silver medal to his newborn daughter Rabab Kaur Toor, Toor shared that she brought happiness to his family after several miscarriages. The silver medal came after he threw the shot 20.64 meters.

However, Iran's Mohammadreza Tayebise won gold with a throw of 20.81 meters, surpassing Toor's Asian Games record of 20.75 meters. On a positive note, Toor sees this medal as a vindication against those who doubted his abilities following a third-place finish at the Inter-State National Championships. He is now determined to continue pushing his limits, aiming to surpass 22 meters in his throws.
