Manchester United have been advised to manage Benjamin Sesko's return cautiously after he suffered a shin injury that has flared up again, potentially leading to another long-term absence. The Slovenian international has been struggling with the issue since spring, aggravated further when he slipped on the edge of Old Trafford's pitch during a match against Liverpool.

Sesko missed the entire pre-season and made his comeback at the start of the new campaign. However, he has struggled to replicate his previous form, leading to his exclusion from the matchday squad for the Fulham game. Michael Carrick, a former Manchester United midfielder, made the decision to drop Sesko from the lineup for that match.
