Instead, their primary focus is on the bigger picture of corporate business at the boardroom level. This stance raises questions about their priorities. On one hand, it is expected that TKO executives would prioritize overall business management while allowing Triple H and the writing team to handle creative decisions.

However, TKO appears to have been engaged in the creative process when they inserted Pat McAfee into the WWE Title feud between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton before WrestleMania 42. Meltzer also noted mixed feelings surrounding the decision to return the top belt to Sami Zayn during the September 11 edition of SmackDown. While CM Punk is considered the bigger star marketing-wise, Zayn has been delivering some of his best work lately and has been instrumental in keeping the blue brand's TV show afloat.

Despite their neutral stance on individual titles, TKO's decision to give Zayn a second reign (which has surpassed the initial 9-day reign) was deemed a smart move by Hunter. The Wrestling Observer concludes that the upper management of TKO holds no positive or negative opinions about such matters, as their primary concern lies with WWE's big-picture financial deals.
