Punjab to Train 160,000 Teachers Under AI Curriculum

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced plans to train 160,000 teachers in artificial intelligence (AI) through a new Curriculum and Training Initiative. Ali Dar, the Chief Minister's advisor on AI and the initiative itself, made this announcement at the launch ceremony. Dar emphasized that the training of 160,000 teachers would be crucial in promoting AI across the province and aligning education with the latest international standards.

The primary goal of incorporating AI into the curriculum is to equip teachers with cutting-edge knowledge and skills, ultimately providing students with enhanced learning opportunities in the future. The launch event gathered representatives from the School Education Department, PECTAA, PMIU-PESRP, UNICEF, and the Office of AI, all gathered to discuss the evolving roles of teaching, learning, and education in the age of artificial intelligence.
