PRN Melaka: Jika terus digantung, PN mungkin guna logo PAS

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition may choose to use the PAS symbol for the PRN Melaka if the Registration of Societies Department (JPPM) decision remains undecided, according to Takiyuddin Hassan, Secretary-General of both PN and PAS. PAS leader Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar stated that his party has no issues with other parties using their symbol, but Bersatu is specifically requested to field their own symbol.

However, the logo usage issue is not a major concern in Melaka; instead, the focus will be on the importance based on the current situation. Thus, it is not mandatory for these parties (within PN) to use their own logos; they can use any party's logo, indicating unity among them. Consequently, there is no issue if one of these combined parties, such as PAS, uses their respective logo.

This is not against the law, and it is one of the choices available if PN is still undecided, as reported by Harian Metro after the People's Carnival event in Kota Bharu. The Election Commission will convene on October 7 to determine the date for the PRN Melaka follow-up hearing after the dissolution of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (DUN) the previous Wednesday.

On the same day DUN Melaka was dissolved, JPPM handed over a petition to Bersatu regarding the disqualification issue. With 43 parliamentary seats and 146 DUN seats, PAS leads among the dominant components within the PN coalition.
