The United Nations Human Rights Office has released a list of 214 companies that have been identified as contributing to the establishment of illegally occupied settlements in the Palestinian territories under Israeli control. According to a recent report by the UN, most of the companies involved are based in Israel itself, while eight are based in the United States, including Airbnb.

The list, published by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to the Human Rights Council, also includes American travel agencies such as Expedia, a German construction materials company Heidelberg Materials, and two companies each from China, France, and the United Kingdom. Regional offices based in South Africa, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Spain are also listed.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ruled that Israel's presence in the occupied Palestinian territories is unlawful. This is the fourth update since the data collection began in 2020. Last year, the list only included 158 companies. As of 2024, OHCHR has received reports linking 596 companies, and is still investigating 255 of them.

In each case, the office assesses whether a company is directly involved in settlement construction, operating activities in the occupied territory alongside others, or contributing to settlement construction through its products or services. The listing in the database does not carry any specific consequences. The data collection was established in 2016 by the UN to increase transparency, with the hope that pressure can be applied to companies involved to stop their activities.
