Nebraska Comes to East Lansing as the Favorite

The Spartans will be playing as underdogs in the Big Ten, having lost their previous game to Notre Dame. Michigan State's quarterback, Alessio Milivojevic, has struggled in recent games, completing only nine passes and throwing two interceptions.

In contrast, Nebraska's quarterback, Anthony Colandrea, has been dominant, throwing for 692 yards, eight touchdowns, and just one interception. The Nebraska defense has shown strength against other non-Power Four opponents, allowing an average of 3.1 yards per carry for Ohio and Bowling Green running backs. Michigan State's running back Cam Edwards has been a key player, averaging 4.8 yards per carry on 60 carries for 288 yards.

However, Nebraska's run defense has been average against non-Power Four teams, allowing 3.1 yards per carry, 3.0 yards per carry for Bowling Green, and 3.8 yards per carry for North Dakota. Michigan State's backup quarterback, Cam Fancher, has been a valuable asset this season, receiving snaps in every game and even scoring a touchdown against Notre Dame.
