South Korea clinched its fourth consecutive men's sabre team fencing gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Saturday. The victory came against Japan, who secured a 45-44 win in the final at Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan. This marked the country's fourth consecutive Asian Games title in this event, a position it has held since the 2014 Asian Games.

Fencer Oh Sang-uk secured two gold medals in fencing, including the men's individual sabre title on Wednesday. Sabre team events involve nine head-to-head bouts, each lasting three minutes or ending when one team reaches a score that's a multiple of five. The competition concludes when a team hits 45 points or surpasses the opponent's score at the end of the ninth bout.

The final was closely contested, with the winning margin decided in the last minute. Team South Korea took an early lead, extending their advantage to 10-6 by the second bout. Japan made a comeback in the seventh bout, taking a 35-32 lead. However, Oh Sang-uk's impressive comeback in the ninth bout secured South Korea's fourth consecutive Asian Games title in men's sabre team fencing.
