Lando Norris blasts Franco Colapinto after Azerbaijan GP

Race leader Lando Norris faced a disastrous end to his day at the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The reigning Drivers’ Champion was struggling early on, slipping back in the top ten after a poor start. His misfortune only escalated during a restart in the closing stages, when a collision knocked him out of the race. The spark was provided by Franco Colapinto, who entered Turn 1 at Turn 1 at high speed and collided with his teammate Pierre Gasly, who then hit Norris.

The three-way pile-up resulted in all three being eliminated from the points and the race. Norris, visibly frustrated, told reporters, "I was just slow. Struggling a lot in the straights. Everyone came past me quickly. Just an impossible race out there for me, from that side, the straight-line speed today."
