Jürgen Klopp confirms Alexander Nübel will play against Greece

German national team head coach Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that 29-year-old Besiktas goalkeeper Alexander Nübel will play in goal during the upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Greece on Sunday. The decision comes after Marc ter Stegen's performance in the 1-1 draw against the Netherlands faced mixed reactions. Klopp defended ter Stegen in a pre-match press conference, expressing his satisfaction with the Ajax keeper's performance.

He emphasized that the change in goal for the Greece match has nothing to do with ter Stegen's performance. While Klopp has identified Marc ter Stegen as his current number one goalkeeper, finding a long-term solution for Germany in goal remains a task for the new head coach.
