ISL 2026/27 Phase 1 fixtures announced, 68% of matches scheduled around weekends

The Indian Super League (ISL) has announced the Phase 1 fixtures for the 2026/27 season, which is set to kick off on October 10. According to the announcement, around 68% of the matches in this phase will be scheduled around the weekends. The full schedule, including Phase 2 and playoff fixtures, as well as the venue for Inter Kashi's home games, will be revealed at a later date.

FC Goa CEO Ravi Puskur appreciated fans' demand for more weekend matches in a post on X. The opening fixture will be between Bengaluru FC and Sporting Club Delhi at Kanteerava Stadium, with East Bengal and Mohun Bagan Super Giant also starting their campaigns early in the season. The rest of the Phase 1 matches will predominantly be played on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with 53 out of 78 games (68%) scheduled for these days.

Matches are primarily planned for 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM IST. Following the announcement, the league will take a break for the FIFA international window from November 7 to November 20, 2026.
