George Russell edges Max Verstappen by 0.1s in crash-filled Azerbaijan Grand Prix

In a crash-filled Azerbaijan Grand Prix at Baku, George Russell triumphed over Max Verstappen by just 0.1 seconds, edging closer to Kimi Antolin's championship lead. Russell, who started from pole position, built an 11-second lead before safety cars were deployed, allowing Verstappen to close behind the Mercedes. Verstappen made a late move on the final lap, but Russell managed to hold him off.

Russell described the final lap as "fast" and expressed his thoughts on losing boost after the yellow flags. Max Verstappen, the four-time world champion, remained philosophical, stating that George lost boost on the final lap and he got close but it was not enough.

Charles Leclerc, driving for Ferrari, finished fourth, while Isack Hadjar in the other Red Bull secured third position. As for the field, Valtteri Bottas crashed into a wall, ending the race under a yellow flag.
