Form two student dies after being found unconscious at Kuala Pilah school hostel

A Form Two student attending a sports school in Kuala Pilah tragically passed away after being found unconscious in the hostel overnight. The Kuala Pilah district police chief, Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin, confirmed the incident and revealed that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is currently underway.

The student, identified as Muhammad Idlan Fareeq Shahril from SMK Za’ba, Kuala Pilah, was eventually transported to Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah (HTAN), where he was pronounced dead. The post-mortem examination will be conducted at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar (HTJ) in Seremban.

Initially, social media posts had circulated alleging that the student had died as a result of being assaulted at the school hostel; however, these claims have not been verified, and the police are actively seeking to establish the true cause of death. MARA chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, calling for a thorough and prompt investigation into the matter. He stated that firm action must be taken to address the alleged bullying that the student had reportedly suffered.
