Delta pledges justice after civil servant dies at work

The Delta State Government has assured the family of Unity Adeda, a Level 16 civil servant who died at work, that there will be no injustice in the investigation. Dr Kingsley Emu, the Secretary to the State Government, led a delegation of senior officials to the family to express condolences and assure them of the government's commitment to justice.

The state is deeply concerned about the incident, emphasizing that every life matters to Governor Oborevwori's administration. Preliminary reports suggest an internal altercation at the workplace escalated to the fatal event. Governor Oborevwori directed the Commissioner of Police to conduct a thorough investigation, and an administrative panel of civil servants has been established to examine the circumstances and improve conflict-resolution mechanisms within the public service.

The government has also assured labor leaders that the workplace remains safe for civil servants and appealed for calm and continued dedication from the workforce.
